It Came from the Sky Film Festival is a Science Fiction, Fantasy, & Horror film festival. A celebration of the wonderfly weird.
Join us September 11-13, 2020 in Manitowoc, WI.
To make this event happen requires lots of volunteer hours and money to cover the costs of putting this event on. We appreciate all donations amounts and it goes directly into making It Came From The Sky a fun filled film festival.
Wayne has had a long history with film and film festivals. In film, he has been everything from the guy cleaning up the set after a long day of shooting to the guy running this and going for that. Wayne has also acted in roles such as "dead guy on floor," "the singing drunk" in Bowl Full of Happiness, Dr. Dan in Petty Cash. These positions brought Wayne to producing his own film about Milwaukee's last Godfather, Frank Balistrieri, and becoming one of the leading experts on Frank's life. When it comes to film festivals, Wayne has helped A Night of Horror in the role of judge and programmer. He also served as a judge for Midwest Weirdfest. Wayne also ran the It Came From Lake Michigan Horror Festival and currently runs the Indie Film Wisconsin Film Festival in Racine, WI. Mr. Clingman loves the idea of the fun and joy that a good campy horror/sci-fi film festival can be when it is joined with a community, like Manitowoc, that has such a rich history with the space race. Mr. Clingman fully believes that science fiction can (and should) be used to help interest kids of all ages in the sciences. His primary goal in doing It Came From the Sky is to bring kids of all ages to Manitowoc and the Little Bakery Theater and introduce them (and others!) to the fun of horror films that use plot, tension and acting to tell a sci-fi story and get the audience thinking rather than just use gore to shock and appall. Some of those stories about lights in the sky might even be onto something... You can follow Wayne on Twitter @ColBadger
